Today, our Bourj 1 and Bourj 2 centres finally reopened their doors to students after two months of closure due to the constant bombing near the centres.
During this difficult time, both centres continued teaching, though not on the ground, but online. As the saying goes, where there’s a will, there’s a way. In addition, Bourj 1 has been teaching 70 displaced students from southern Lebanon and other areas affected by the war.
Thrilled, both centres were redecorated on Friday to welcome back our students as if it were the first time.
It has been a challenging period for all of us, but we have overcome it with strength and resilience, each of us learning valuable lessons along the way.
Alsama provides refugee teenagers in the Middle East with a world-class education, while transforming refugee education worldwide.
