A Special Journey: From Balcony to Classroom!

Three months ago, 13-year-old Nour joined the Alsama Shatila 2 centre. 'Nour is one of the most dedicated students we have ever seen,' the teachers said. She used to stand for hours on the roof of her house next to the Shatila building every day, rain or shine, watching our students studying in the classroom, wishing she could be part of the classroom. Even though she couldn't join them, Nour listened to the sounds of learning coming from the open windows. Eventually, our students noticed her and started communicating with her through the window. They then informed Teacher Ali, the director of the center. Nour's determination to study inspired Teacher Ali, and he talked to her parents about allowing her to join the center, to which they agreed. The teacher said, 'She is a quick learner and hard worker, and we are lucky to have her in class.' Nour's story inspired everyone. She showed that with determination, you can achieve your dreams.
