What I love most about Alsama is that women are leading change. In one year the organisation has grown so much and continues to grow. I give my best wishes to the Bourj team and wish them good luck!

Mabrouk! ๐
The Alsama secondary educational institute in Bourj al-Barajneh for 200 refugee teenagers is open! It is our second institute after Shatila.

We spent a wonderful hour with guests from Iqra & Irqa, Kafa Foundation, Naqab foundation and even foreign journalists! Our Shatila family was also there to cheer for the Bourj team.
Nour Naffaa, the director, kickstarted the event by sharing her vision for the centre and also looking back from where we started, all narrated in a short movie. The students gave an incredible performance of songs and poems, moving so many of us to tears. You could see the performers filled with pride and joy at what they achieved as a team. The day ended with everyone enjoying delicious food and juices in a room full of laughter.
We want to thank Women Win for their support and faith in Alsama. Without your assistance the Bourj institute would not have become a reality. ๐งก
