In Marah’s last school year, her father lost a leg during a bomb attack and their home was destroyed. The family had to move in with relatives. Yet, Marah succeeded in putting all her efforts into her finals. She received 95.02% in her high school exams, and was awarded a scholarship to study Pharmacy in Lebanon. But life in Lebanon proved a challenge. Being far away from her family and facing daily discrimination, she fell into a depression. She battled through with professional help. She is now proud to use some of the techniques that she learnt during her treatment to teach the children resilience on the cricket pitch.
