Amani comes from Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria. She, too, was born in 2006 and is the eldest of 7 children. She arrived with her family in Shatila in 2013. Amani went to school for a couple of years before the family had to flee and education came to a halt. But in 2018 she finally got a place in one of the camp schools, where she joined year 2. Amani dreams to become a cricketer. She was one of the first girls to join the Alsama cricket hub in Shatila when it opened in autumn 2018. Since then she has not missed a single session regardless of summer heat or winter thunderstorms. She trains three times a week and recently captained the first all girls cricket team in Lebanon.  Her fame has spread wide: In 2019 she was featured in the sports pages of the UK’s The Guardian.
