Our students have been rehearsing the beginning of a full-length opera.
With the support of Garsington Opera House, the Grange Festival and the Mascarade Opera Foundation, Italy, the Professional Group have formed the ‘Alsama Youth Opera Company’.
The students’ opera is called ‘The Moon is Listening’. It has been written and choreographed by Alsama students, in collaboration with Alfarah Choir and Amwaj Choir.
Despite a short rehearsal period of only 4 days, the team put on a remarkable performance which left the audience amazed. The full opera is set to be debuted in November – stay tuned for more exciting updates on the students’ progress.
