For Refugee Week, we are sharing news about our amazing Alsama Studio.
The Alsama Studio is a social enterprise which employs mothers of Alsama students. They create beautiful, bespoke works of embroidery.
Recently the Studio welcomed Poppy – a short-term volunteer who has taught knitting and is working on an Alsama Studio website so the Studio can sell their amazing creations.

Alsama student Israa was the first trainee in the Alsama Studio – and she is now teaching Haneen the art of embroidery!
Haneen loves the art embroidery so much that she decided to join the Alsama Studio on top of her studies. Everyday she finishes school and heads to the Studio, where she can practise her skills!
We wish Haneen, Israa and the rest of the Studio all the best for the future.
